Butcher Apprentice

Our client has a new exciting opportunity for a Butcher Apprentice, to be based on site in Surrey. This role is 5 days per week on site.

The Responsibilities

• Assisting in the butchery retail operations
• Preparation of products as instructed by butchers
• Ensuring good customer service, sales advice, counter service, merchandising
• Keep displays eye catching, clean and relevant
• Knowledgeable about all products relating to your key areas
• Ensure stock rotation is done on all food items
• Ensure counters are kept clean

Requirements:

• Must be passionate about working with meat products.
• Excellent communication skills.
• An understanding of different cuts of meat is desirable, but not necessary.
• Good attention to detail to allow for accurate cuts, trims, and portions.
• Understanding of stock rotation & pricing.
• Will take responsibility for their own H&S and site fire safety at all times.
• Will deliver the company retail standards consistently.
