About the Role:
• Source new suppliers, vetting them for product quality and service as well as cost effectiveness
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to support these findings
• Continuously monitor supplier performance and conduct regular supplier audits, inline with agreed service levels
• Negotiate favourable prices and contract terms with suppliers
• Liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally on new projects.
• Stay up to date with current market trends and identify new opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering
partnerships based on trust, reliability, and mutual benefits.
• Perform related admin duties associated with the role, such as POs and invoices and creating BOMs.
About the Candidate:
• Previous experience of purchasing within a manufacturing setting
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
A can-do attitude with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
Qualification in CIPs is preferred but not essential
