Robert Half is partnering with a global company based in Uxbridge to recruit a Buyer. This position plays a critical role in delivering operational excellence and enhancing the Procurement shared service model, while also leading tactical and strategic initiatives to support ongoing procurement transformation. Compensation and Benefits:

• £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
• 25 days holiday
• Private medical insurance
• Hybrid working arrangement (1-2 days in the Uxbridge office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain purchase orders
• Proactively manage operational procurement activities, ensuring processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with company policies
• Negotiate optimal terms and conditions, as well as transactional processes, with selected suppliers
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure services meet stakeholders' needs
• Liaise with lead buyers for timely execution of sourcing activities
• Participate in procurement monitoring activities
• Minimise exceptions and obtain proper approvals when exceptions are necessary
• Collaborate with local Finance and Compliance/Legal teams to ensure key compliance KPIs and quarterly control metrics are monitored
• Engage in standardisation and harmonisation of processes and systems to maintain effective and efficient procurement operations
• Contribute to Procurement's success in savings, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation, and fulfilment of defined KPIs
• Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant external regulations

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in procurement or a related role
• Strong execution skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion
• Knowledge of SAP MM, eSourcing, and Procurement Suites is advantageous
