Our client is an established manufacturer and are looking for a Buyer to join the existing purchasing and stock functions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone within genuine interest in procurement practices to be part of something truly exciting. The business have a great reputation and an exceptional people culture.

The successful candidate will have involvement in stock holdings across multiple warehouse facilities and will play a key part in developing supplier relationships whilst liaising with suppliers.

Buyer - Responsibilities & Requirements

• Will have knowledge of the supply chain process
• Must possess a genuine interest in procurement practices
• Will be self-motivated, proactive, confident and genuine in approach
• Will be responsible for developing supplier relationships
• Liaising with suppliers across the UK and overseas
• Support within the purchasing and stock control departments within the business
• Involved in the processing of purchasing requisitions
• Stock management using the in-house commercial system
• Strong commercial acumen and communication skills are a must
• CIPS qualified or willing to undergo study towards CIPS qualification
