Role: Buyer 

Salary: £35-40k

Location: Wythenshawe (near the airport)

My client, an extremely fast growing aviation MRO company, are looking for a motivated Buyer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting and dynamic organization who are providing cutting edge solutions. Previous experience within the Aviation sector is essential for this role. Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. 

Duties include:

• Actively supporting the competitive purchasing of a range of materials to facilitate the ongoing requirements of a high profile military aircraft project as well as supporting a number of commercial aviation maintenance and modification projects.

• Managing relationships with suppliers, sourcing and engaging with third party suppliers

• Negotiating and purchasing products from approved suppliers

• Ensuring on time supply of all materials for the relevant projects and ensuring minimum stock levels across the business are maintained

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Previous experience in aviation

• Proven negotiation skills, including price and terms negotiations.

• Proficiency in IT, particularly with Excel

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
