Mark Sattin are working in partnership with a fantastic aerospace engineering company based in Bristol, to recruit a Buyer on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to take a lead role in the full procurement lifecycle, support on procurement related projects and manage a portfolio of suppliers.

The Buyer role

The Buyer will have ownership of the effective and efficient purchasing of materials and components for site and will be responsible the full end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, onboarding and supplier management. This role will be well suited to candidates that have a demonstrable track record in procurement with proven negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of inventory levels, ensure materials and components are on site for production
  • Manage supplier base against agreed KPI's to ensure quality and compliance levels are met
  • Deliver against cost saving and quality metrics
  • Support on all procurement projects across sourcing, quality, onboarding
  • Mitigate risk to supply where met, source new suppliers where needed
  • Work with the wider business functions as the voice of procurement
  • Raise purchase orders and expedite

About your experience

  • CIPs is desirable
  • Proven track record in a strategic procurement role
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Sound understanding or MRP/ERP
  • High proficiency in Excel
