Robert Half are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a construction business in South Bristol on the recruitment of a full time and permanent Buyer. We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding of the construction industry, who is keen to work in a hands-on position and fast paced environment.

Our client is fully office based; and you would be required on site Monday - Friday with working hours of either 8:30am to 5pm, or 9am to 5:30pm. There is plenty of free parking available on site.

Responsibilities of the Buyer will include but not be limited to:

• Placing and issuing orders for materials and hiring of equipment, logging all data effectively through an internal system.
• Obtaining quotes and maintaining an internal quote log as well as annual supplier price lists.
• Collating weekly timesheets for around 30 employees.
• Managing reports, delivery schedules, an enquiry database and various Excel spreadsheets.
• Supporting the Commercial Manager by collating and providing various documentation as required.

Your Profile:

• Prior experience within buying and/or procurement is essential for this position.
• Ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.
• Experience working in the construction industry is essential for this position.
• Strong administrative background with the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
