My client is a civil engineering and building contractor based in Manchester. The company operates nationally having successfully completed works across the UK

My client is looking for a Construction Buyer to join their close-knit team that is keen to develop their skills in a profitable company and 'roll up your sleeves' type of environment!

Responsibilities:

· Daily ordering of raw materials from external suppliers

· Organising waste removal from construction sites.

· Updating delivery dates / chasing late orders & expediting raw materials where required

· Monitoring stock levels & liaising with supervisor to replenish stocks

· Working closely with Contracts Managers

· Liaising with Goods In / Purchase Ledger / Suppliers where delivery / invoice discrepancies arise

· Reviewing purchasing agreements with suppliers and maintaining price updates.

· Negotiating with new & existing suppliers

You will require the following skills / experience:

· Previous experience in a buying role

· PC literate with good experience of all Microsoft programmes especially Excel
