What will the role involve?

• Managing the procurement of raw materials within your category
• Issuing tenders and analysing supplier responses
• Analysing cost drivers and tracking relevant commodity prices
• Agreeing contractual terms with suppliers
• Undertaking contract management and supplier relationship management activities
• Delivering cost savings and added value within your category
• Managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Excellent analytical skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Previous experience in a procurement / buyer role
• CIPS qualification, or a willingness to work towards this
• Strong relationship building / stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial acumen

Previous experience of tendering and contract negotiation would be an advantage
