As the Conference & Events manager for Unity Place, your overall purpose is to help bring to life our shared commitment: - ‘Creating exceptional experiences at Unity Place for tenants, stakeholders and the local community.
This is a high-profile role in a busy department. As Conference & Events Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the conference & events operation at Unity Place. Including day to day hospitality and conference bookings, through to high profile fine dining dinners and events. Leading and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional standards. You’ll be a meticulous planner, confident and charismatic, with the ability to plan for today as well as the future. As well as this, you’ll be awesome at:- Building a team and providing effective leadership ensuring targets are met
- Maintain exceptional levels of guest satisfaction, evaluate feedback and focus on continuous improvement
- Optimise sales and control costs
- Planning and logistics, implementing processes and systems to help the department operate efficiently
- Ensure event bookings are delivered on time every time
- Building relationships with internal and external bookers
- Be hands on when needed, particularly for high profile dinners and events
- A successful record in conference & events, especially the ability to deliver profit, control costs, build customer loyalty and deliver exceptional standards
- A passion for delivering exceptional standards
- Strong knowledge of the events, leisure and services sector
- Exceptional communication skills
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build a team
