About the Role
Base Location: Foyers and Dundreggan, Inverness, however you will be required to travel to other Hydro sites within the Great Glen area.
Salary: £41,583-£48,296 depending on skills and experience + company vehicle + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

As part of the Foyers Great Glen Section Hydro Maintenance team, you'll be accountable for the delivery of a wide range of C&I operational, maintenance and project work.
Some of your main accountabilities will include;
- Maintaining flood gate controller’s and fish pass instrumentation and installing, calibrating, and repairing water level transducers.
- Testing, maintaining, and installing SCADA systems, communication equipment and alarms and protection equipment.
- Offering first line C&I defect resolution, i.e. response, coordination, repair and management within the Maintenance Management System including where appropriate setting contractors to work and providing supervision during the works.
- Attaining and upkeeping of a high level restricted Safe Systems of Work authorisation.
- Assessing the technical integrity of C&I assets and proposing technical solutions proactively whilst supporting the implementation of the Hydro Cyber Security Policy.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, we would love you to have;
- HNC level qualification or similar in engineering, with practical experience or extensive maintenance/operational background.
- Knowledge of C & I systems, sensors, engineering plant, computerised maintenance, and health and safety systems.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation. Know fixed and wireless communication protocols.
- Understanding the importance of an effective Safe System of Work and health and safety regulations.
- A CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification or equivalent, or currently working towards this.
Due to the nature of this role, you may be required to travel, therefore a full and valid driving license will be essential.
