My client has created another role within their team for a C# developer with skills in SQL Server to develop scalable multi-tier solutions for their housing suite of products.

Recent client wins has resulted in the need for additional resource in the development team.

C# / .NET Developer - About the role:

The C# / .NET Developer role will be based remotely working as part of a team of small team and closely with the Technical Lead, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the software being developed.

You will work on some greenfield projects Developing a range of Housing Applications, based around C#, APIs, JSON, .Net Core and SQL Server and development frameworks.

You will be able to write new functionality required by the business, as well as investigate different approaches to tackle new projects and requirements. You should be passionate about Object Oriented Coding and Software Design and enjoy the challenges that working with new technology brings with it.

You will work with technologies that include - C#, .NET, SQL, Rest APIs, .NET Core, JSON, SSRS, SQL, and gain some exposure to projects involving Cloud Hosted Applications, and API access control schemes and frameworks building distributed applications.

C# / .NET Developer - Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and enhance solutions and applications utilising Web API’s, ,NET Core, JSON, SQL, WCF / WPF.
  2. C# / .NET full lifecycle development
  3. Build distributed applications.
  4. Write new functionality and investigate different approaches to tackle new projects.
  5. Development of the Housing Management System ( fully web & mobile based system)
  6. Test new developed functionality.
  7. Work closely with Technical Lead on development projects.
  8. Development using MVC frameworks.
  9. Willingness to learn technology when required.

C#.NET Developer - Essential Technical Skills:

Candidates must have some exposure to most of the technologies listed below:

  • C# / .NET
  • SQL
  • Strong OO background
  • Web Services , WPF / WCF
  • Knowledge of Development frameworks
  • Knowledge of APIs
  • Preferably some previous experience of working in the housing sector.

Candidates must have strong C# .NET and OO development skills with a strong customer service ethos and passion for resolving queries to a high stand. Candidates will have a broad technical skillset and be keen to look at learning new technologies.

There is a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the Social Housing Sector but will still consider applicants from other sectors.

The role will be based remotely from home but will require perhaps 2-3 days a month at their HQ ( travel expenses and overnight accommodation will be paid by the company)
