The role of CAD/ CAM Engineer requires a professional with a strong understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to develop and implement CAD/ CAM projects within an industrial/manufacturing setting. The position is based in Sheffield and forms an integral part of the Engineering & Manufacturing team.

Description

As CAD/ CAM Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

• 3D modelling of customer components and producing 2D drawings from the models, using Unigraphics.
• Producing both turning and milling programmes using Unigraphics.
• In house development work including designing.
• Produce step by step routing of components through the Machine Shops to optimise production.
• Taking a methodical approach in identifying and monitoring risks on process changes

Profile

A successful CAD/ CAM Engineer should have:

• A degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Offer

• A competitive salary of £44,000 rising to £49,000 per annum, once commencement of afternoon shift pattern.
• 37.5 hours per week, days initially then moving to a 2-shift system - Mornings and afternoons after successfully completing induction
