CAD Engineer
  • Annual Salary: Circa £30,000
  • Location: North Walsham, Norfolk
  • Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking a CAD Engineer with a strong background in material handling equipment design, particularly with steel or metal. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and a passion for engineering design.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and develop detailed plans for material handling equipment using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualise and refine product designs.
  • Ensure all designs meet the required specifications and industry standards.
  • Produce and revise technical drawings and documentation as needed.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, specifically with material handling equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of steel or metal design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications are highly advantageous.
