The Company

Our client is an expanding and competitive designer, developer and manufacturer of high-volume products. Due to an exciting period of expansion and investment they now have a new permanent position for a CAD Designer.

The Role

  • To work as part of a small CAD team, ensuring the production team have all the information needed to fulfil customer orders.
  • Review client design drawings.
  • Develop an understating of client needs and requirements.
  • Liaise with clients on technical and design issues.
  • Ensure request for information forms are sent to clients.
  • Provide accurate, detailed and to scale manufacturing drawings for clients.
  • Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to validate design information.
  • Serve as the link of communication between clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records.

The Person

  • Applicants must be an active team player, highly motivated, and able to work within a fast-paced, project driven environment.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills form an integral part of the desired candidate’s attributes.
  • Degree in a Mechanical/Design field is essential.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Inventor (or similar 3d package).
  • You will have experience of working with cross functional teams.
