Role- CAD Technician

Salary- £30,000- £35,000 per annum plus benefits (Dependent on experience, please advise what you’re looking for)

Type- Permanent

Location- Coventry

My client design and manufactures a range of bespoke commercial rooms for a variety of clients. They are looking to take on a CAD Technician, on a permanent basis, in Coventry.

The CAD Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering subject
  • Graduate level will be considered as well as those with 2-5 years’ or more of industry experience working in a CAD / design role
  • Good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CAD software – Inventor or Revit
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office programmes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad
  • Someone who is keen to progress and develop with a company long term
The CAD Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

  • Working as part of the Drawing Office
  • Supporting both the Projects and Process Engineering teams
  • Working to produce drawings using Inventor CAD software
  • Creating layouts and detailed drawings in line with standards
  • Keeping on top of project schedules
  • Checking and reviewing drawings
