Greycoat Lumley’s are pleased to be working with a fantastic client based in the beautiful Fife, Scotland. A Victorian castle overlooking the Firth of Forth renowned for its views and stunning gardens. The successful candidate will be cooking with one another in the kitchen, preparing soups, sandwiches and paninis. There is also hot food available. You will need to understanding food and café experience is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare soups, sandwiches and paninis daily.
  • Be able to cook hot food to order; for example - sausages, bacon, eggs.
  • Assist with the baking of cakes and scones.
  • Develop fresh and innovative menu options to meet customer demands and increase revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and allergen processes, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the castle, such as events and facilities management, to enhance guest experience.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in cooking in a café environment.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of food safety, health and safety and allergen processes.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and guest experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A creative and innovative approach to menu development.

Salary - £11.44ph

Hours - 40 hours a week, Wednesday-Sunday 8am-4pm.
