Capital Manager - Life Insurance (London or Scotland)
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Capital Manager to join its Shareholder Finance Strategy team. This is a key role in shaping and driving balance sheet and capital management activities across the shareholder business. The role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide insight on financial strength and risks through analysis of the shareholder balance sheet and key reporting metrics.
Develop, implement, and optimise frameworks for risk appetite, capital management, asset liability management, and liquidity.
Identify and execute balance sheet and capital management solutions.
Support the development and monitoring of capital and risk appetite frameworks, policies, and MI.
Prepare governance and strategy papers, supporting senior management in delivering balance sheet solutions.
Respond to emerging regulatory and balance sheet requirements, contributing to business-wide initiatives.
Maintain strong internal and external networks to enhance understanding and delivery.
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong ability to simplify complex financial situations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Proven experience in financial analysis, capital management, or actuarial roles within life insurance or financial services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting Board and committee papers.
Strong stakeholder management and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent technical actuarial knowledge with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with flexibility to work from home and from offices in London, Edinburgh
