Car Mechanic needed

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our client, a car dealership based in Leeds, is seeking for a Car Mechanic to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Role: Car Mechanic

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours: Mon to Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm with 30 mins lunch; Saturdays free however overtime available

Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify potential problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2/3 or time serve qualification
  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • MOT Tester's training or EV training available
