The company - Our unique client, a leading tech company specializing in innovative software solutions for the UK construction industry, is going through a period of expansion. Their mission is to help businesses accurately report, reduce, and promote their carbon footprint.They are looking for an efficient team player with ideally some commercial sector experience and qualifications in sustainability to join a growing Projects Team

Job summary - We are seeking a motivated Carbon Data Analyst to support our carbon reporting products for the UK construction industry. This hybrid role involves analyzing and auditing carbon data to enhance our databases and assist the Product Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain internal databases weekly
  • Support product development and innovation
  • Assist with product maintenance and upgrades
  • Find and maintain relevant carbon certificates (e.g., EPDs)
  • Audit data quality before database inclusion
  • Handle data collection, cleaning, interpretation, and visualization
  • Provide accurate analysis for decision-making
  • Maintain clear process documentation
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects
  • Monitor regulatory and industry developments
  • Stay updated on decarbonization technologies and strategies

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience as a data analyst preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in PostgresSQL, database maintenance, and design
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and SQL programming
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of carbon reporting and environmental certificates (e.g., EPDs, TM65, SECR, ESG)
