Care Assistant

Blackthorns, based in Halstead, are recruiting for care assistants.

24 to 48 hour contracts available.

As a Care Assistant with Runwood Homes, you will help residents enjoy each day and ensure they receive the highest quality care that they so deserve. You will assist with discreet personal care and enjoy daily life together within a safe, clean, and homely setting, providing support, reassurance, and companionship. We are looking for Care Assistants who can work flexibly in our homes across Warwickshire. This is a bank contract, and you will be required to travel to homes in the area on an as-and-when basis. A driving license is preferred for this role.

About you:

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided, your empathy and warm-hearted approach will shine through

Holding an NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Health and Social Care would be advantageous or a willingness to work towards this. We are able to support you in obtaining this qualification on a fully funded apprenticeship supplied by external providers.

You will have excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude and the compassion required to deliver the highest standard of person cantered care.

Blackthorns Care Home is a 57 bed home situated in the rural village of Halstead, North Essex, and next door to The Warrens Day Centre. This spacious home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.We strive to create a varied and enjoyable environment at Blackthorns, and carers listen carefully to what residents would like to do to make the day pleasurable.
