Hours: 37 and HYBRID WORKING

Rate: £45 per hour

A Children’s Team Manager is required for the Cared For Children Service in Tameside.

Team Manager required to cover sickness absence to line manage 6 Social Workers and a Senior Practitioner within a Cared for Children's Service.

The service works with children and young people who are in the Local Authority's long-term care and until they are 18 years old or until they leave care.

The role includes typical Team Manager responsibilities, including undertaking monthly personal supervision, 8 weekly child supervision, chairing team meetings, strategy meetings, ensuring performance is maintained across the team and providing advice and guidance, including to ASYE social work practitioners.

The successful candidate will be line managed by the Service Unit Manager.

Applicants must have experience of managing a cared for children team and be available to start within 2 weeks.

Hybrid working arrangements with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in the office, which is based in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside.
