Right at Home Reading and Wokingham District is a friendly, local award-winning homecare provider which recognises that its employees are its greatest asset.

We're seeking a fabulous, friendly, reliable Care Assistant (with car) to work around 15 - 20 hours a week, year-round, as follows:

Monday - Friday 8.30am to 3:00pm (3 plus days), plus alternate weekends (or every weekend depending on your availability).

Our clients for this role are mostly based in the Wokingham, Woodley, Winnersh, Twyford and Lower Earley areas.

You probably already have the skills you need to make a great Right at Home CareGiver.   But we will teach you everything you need to know with our industry leading training.

  • Premium hourly rates starting from £14.05 per hour weekdays and £16.20 per hour evenings and weekends.
  • Higher Bank Holiday pay rates (starting from £21.08 to £28.10/hour)

Right at Home Reading and Wokingham District supports clients all over the local area, including: Wokingham, Finchampstead, Woodley, Sonning, Winnersh, Shinfield, Earley & Lower Earley, and Twyford areas of Berkshire.

Duties will include:

  • Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day
  • Personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Assisting Clients with washing and dressing
  • Shopping
  • Housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Taking Clients for appointments or outings
  • Making a positive difference to their quality of life and well-being every visit.

Requirements of a Care Assistant:

  • Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving license and have access to own vehicle
  • Have a genuine passion to want to help others
  • Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude
  • Be available for early mornings or evenings and alternate weekends (preferred)

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer or Heath Care Assistant we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail, hospitality, hairdressers/ beauticians, covid testers, cleaners.
