Location: Covering Runnymede
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 +van and fuel card
Job Description:
My client are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Carpenter multi to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry, particularly in tennanted properties, and will be adept at handling a variety of tasks. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry work in void properties, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Carry out tasks such as carpentry, hanging doors, plumbing, tiling and plastering
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in social housing.
- Proficiency in using various carpentry tools and machinery.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for manual labor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification (City & Guikds / NVQ)or apprenticeship in carpentry.
- Experience with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
