Cash/Banking Supervisor

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established public services group to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Transactional Finance Supervisor. Based in Coleford, Forest-Of-Dean or Cheltenham, Gloucestershire with remote/office hybrid working, you will be responsible for overseeing the banking/cash team, while also supporting the Accounts Payable & Receivable teams and related processes. This position is best suited to a dynamic team leader who has experience in transactional finance, who really wants to add value and support process improvement projects and system development.

Your new role

Your key duties will be to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of all financial transactions, adhering to regulatory guidelines. Support the production of data returns for internal departments and external bodies. You will lead in specific areas of expertise including cash management systems, bank reconciliations, card payments and more. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented with a passion for financial transaction management, involved in projects and ad-hoc duties for the organisation including process/system improvements. You will be adaptable to organisational needs and support the accounts payable and receivable teams when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Transactional Finance Supervisor role, you will have experience in a similar position, experience working in a finance transactional environment, with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships. You will have the ability to solve complex finance queries and key problem-solving skills, strong MS excel knowledge, and be trained in a range of financial systems. You will have the ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet time-constrained deadlines with knowledge of cash/banking management. Experience with coaching and people management, Agresso business world, cash receipting systems, and experience within a public service organisation would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Transactional Finance Supervisor role is offering a salary between £32,000 - £36,500 per annum, dependable on experience based either in Coleford, Forest-Of-Dean or Cheltenham, Gloucestershire with remote/office hybrid working, flexible working hours, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, health cash plan, contributed pension scheme, income protection, life assure x4 of salary, generous sickness cover and further organisation benefits.
