Our client is a 6 year old boy who is intellectually very able. He communicates using both high tech and low tech communication devices. He attends a mainstream school with two to one support. Homebased carers do not support him at school. He has two to one support to accommodate his moving and handling needs. There is a well established therapy team who provide training on all aspects of his care.

You will have the opportunity to support the client with therapy activities, his learning, undertaking fun activities and with all aspects of personal care, ensuring all his care needs are met.

Previous experience working with children with additional needs/cerebral palsy is essential.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and you will expected to drive the clients automatic adapted vehicle.

Smoking/vaping is not permitted whilst on duty.

Rates of Pay:

• £17.00 per hour Weekdays
• £19.00 per hour Weekends

Hours of work:

• Will be offered on an as and when needed basis to cover staff holiday and sickness.
• The normal shift pattern is term time Monday to Friday 7-9am, 3.30pm – 7pm
• Weekends and school holidays 7am – 7pm.

There are two staff on shift at all times.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring service will be required.
