£200 per day (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (3 months)

Fully Remote

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Category Manager in Lancashire. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours. The employer can offer fully remote working.

The job:

  • Deliver and manage complex and high-risk procurement activities and categories to meet service requirements and ensure value for money
  • Provide technical assurance and prepare procurement documents in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures. A keen focus on compliance with best practice, relevant legislation (e.g. Public Contracts Regulations 2015)
  • Using expertise to identify appropriate procurement strategies through to implementation that supports the Council delivery services
  • Produce and analyse service and management information to contribute to the development of new services and innovative working practices
  • Lead on the development and delivery of procurement improvement projects to meet agreed objectives that contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement services within the council

The candidate:

  • Must have experience in Social Care or Health public sector procurement, and the relevant procurement regulations including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and/or The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023
  • CIPS qualified (or working towards)
  • Previous experience working in a similar capacity for a local authority is desirable
