CCTV/Security Service Engineer

Are you ready to take your expertise in security and fire systems to the next level? We have an exciting position for a Senior Service Engineer to work closely with our clients Engineering Manager. If you're driven, technically proficient, and dedicated to delivering top-notch service, we want you on our team.

Position: Senior Service Engineer

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:
System Commissioning:

  • Conduct commissioning of security and fire systems, including wireless transmission (training provided as necessary).
  • Handle both reactive and scheduled service fault calls promptly and effectively.
  • Showcase proficiency in IP and IT skills.
  • Preferred experience with Synectics, Dallmeier, and PAC Cloud (training available).
  • Familiarity with public space CCTV systems.
  • Willingness to undergo manufacturer and Health & Safety training to enhance performance.


Collaboration and Support:

  • Liaise with Clients, sub-contractors, and stakeholders during project installations, particularly during commissioning.
  • Compile commissioning information and contribute to the formulation of O&M documents.
  • Provide technical support on-site and assist colleagues as needed.


Health & Safety:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all Health & Safety policies at all times.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards to prevent any incidents.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in second-tier standby support by prior agreement.
  • Possess CSCS, ECS or equivalent qualifications.
  • Preferred possession of an IPAF license for elevated platform operation.


Package Highlights:

  • Competitive basic annual salary of £30,000 - £35,000
  • Flexible working hours between 08:30 and 17:00, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Availability for work between 06:30 and 18:30 if required, with overtime paid for hours exceeding 40.
  • Company-provided van for both business and private use.
  • Supply of laptop, mobile phone, and specialist equipment.
  • Home-based role with site and office visits as needed.
  • "Door to door" payment for work-related travel time.
  • Overtime rates: standard on weekdays, time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays (prior agreement required).
  • 24 days of holiday entitlement per annum pro-rata, plus bank holidays.
  • Additional day off for your birthday, subject to agreement.
