Summary

We are currently recruiting for 2 Change Managers – Fundraising to join our team on an 18-month FTC.

You’ll be working alongside the Head of Programme Delivery delivering changes to enhance how fundraising is performed within the Trust: identifying opportunities for change and designing implementation approaches that stand the best chance of success and consider the needs of National Trust colleagues.

This is an exciting time for fundraising at the National Trust as we embark on an internal change programme, the Fundraising Growth Programme. You’ll play an important role in the programme, which will create increased sustainable and scalable fundraising capabilities across the National Trust. Diversifying our income streams through supporter-centric approaches, new relationships, new products and engaging, tailored experiences. Building a culture where our people are inspired and empowered to play a role in fundraising so we can continue to look after more nature, beauty & history for everyone, forever.

What it's like to work here

The Fundraising team is dynamic, ambitious, and focused on making things happen; playing a vital role in enabling the National Trust to deliver its purpose. Our team sits within the Support and Revenue Directorate, which brings together our supporter-facing income streams from Membership to Fundraising through to our Commercial teams.

Your contractual location will be one of our national hubs and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

Please aware that this role will involve some travel to work with National Trust colleagues and visit our projects & properties across the UK.

What you'll be doing

Engaging stakeholders across the National Trust’s professional fundraising community and delivery teams, being proactive and maintaining strong relationships. Communicating effectively in written and verbal form.

Gathering requirements from teams in the fundraising community, understanding what stakeholders need from the fundraising programme. Articulating requirements to a range of audiences with diverse roles.

Extracting data from National Trust systems. Analysing information relating to fundraising activity and performance. Collating information and producing reports summarising findings.

Carrying out continuous improvement activities, piloting new approaches to fundraising processes, technology and ways of working. Measuring impact and taking forward learnings into future initiatives.

Managing the impact of change to the fundraising community, appreciating how changes will affect individuals and ensuring change is designed in a way to enable smooth implementation.

Who we're looking for

  • A mix of fundraising and change management experience. You may be an experienced fundraising professional with some change management experience, an experienced change manager with some experience in fundraising or somewhere in between.
  • Experience of delivering change and supporting people through change within an organisation, ideally with experience of successfully enabling cultural change.
