Salary: Competitive

Hours per week: Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:30 - 40 hours per week with the opportunity to carry out regular overtime, if required.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Chaperone Operative to join our passionate and driven Technical Services team based in the south of England.

Position Summary: An excellent opportunity awaits you as you join our team, collaborating with a prestigious client within the UK government. You will be primarily tasked with carrying out chaperone duties and assisting with various cleaning and handyperson services, when required.

Key Responsibilities:

The operatives must have a full UK driving licence, be trained in manual handling techniques, be aware of general health and safety legislation and be capable of unsupervised works.

Main duties to be carried out will include but not be limited to:

  • Safely escort contractors and visitors around several client sites in the north of England
  • Carry out several basic maintenance tasks such as temperature checks, flushing little used outlets and various visual inspections
  • Assist site engineers in carrying out their day-to-day duties
  • Assist with general cleaning duties and waste removal
  • Provide a basic caretaking service – e.g. ‘home handyman’ skills.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic handyman skills
  • Please note should you be successful in this role you will be required to undergo security clearance and successfully pass these checks.
  • This vacancy is subject to passing government clearances
