Job Description: Currently seeking a motivated and experienced Charity Solicitor to join our team. As a Charity Solicitor, you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and support to charitable organizations, helping them navigate complex legal issues and achieve their missions effectively. Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to charitable organizations on matters including governance, fundraising, regulatory compliance, and contractual issues. * Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and agreements, including contracts, policies, and agreements with donors and partners. * Assist charitable organizations in obtaining and maintaining charitable status, as well as complying with relevant legislation and regulations. * Represent charitable clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings when necessary. * Stay informed about changes in charity law and regulations, and provide proactive advice to clients accordingly. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to their missions. Requirements: * Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales. * Proven experience 3+ years practicing charity law, preferably within a reputable law firm or in-house legal department. * In-depth knowledge of charity law, regulations, and best practices. * Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and colleagues. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. * Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.
