The Chartered Building Surveyor's Role

As the successful Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll be taking the lead on a variety of refurbishment projects-particularly within the industrial and logistics sectors-with project values typically ranging from £250k to £10m+. The role is delivery-focused, offering full ownership from inception through to completion.

In addition to leading project work, you'll also support the development of junior surveyors, contribute to expanding service lines, and help grow key client relationships. There is also flexibility to take on additional areas of interest such as party wall matters, technical due diligence, and dilapidations.

This is an ideal role for someone looking for greater autonomy, client visibility, and a platform to shape their own future within a forward-thinking consultancy.

The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor Will Have

Qualifications:

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor (essential)
  • Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline

Experience and Attributes:

  • Proven track record delivering refurbishment projects up to £10m
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in the industrial sector
  • Comfortable leading projects and managing client relationships
  • Passion for ESG-led work (desirable)
  • Strong report writing, organisation, and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work autonomously
