We are seeking a talented individual to join our busy kitchen team, playing a key role in delivering varied and delicious meals to our students, staff, and visitors. You will maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene while contributing to the smooth running of our catering operation.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare a large volume of high-quality food using fresh ingredients and your culinary skills for our various catering outlets.

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Senior Chef de Partie to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and contribute to menu development.

  • Adhere to strict food hygiene and safety regulations at all times and maintain a clean and organised work area.

  • Manage stock effectively, receive and check deliveries, and contribute to minimising food waste.

  • Provide excellent customer service, gather feedback, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our catering services.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience preparing large quantities of food in a demanding kitchen environment.

  • A relevant Level 2 and/or Level 3 qualification in catering/hospitality, or equivalent experience.

  • A strong understanding of food hygiene procedures, including a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

  • A positive and proactive approach, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high standards.

  • Knowledge of current Food Hygiene legislation, including new Allergen legislation, is highly desirable.
