We are working with a fast-growing insurance and reinsurance broker and MGA operating in Lloyd’s of London and international markets who are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Actuary professional to join their team as Chief Actuary.

As a key member of the executive team, the Chief Actuary will be responsible for leading and managing all actuarial functions within the company, including pricing, reserving, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement actuarial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals
• Provide leadership and guidance on actuarial matters to the wider business, ensuring development and performance
• Oversee the pricing of insurance and reinsurance products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability
• Manage the reserving process to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and claims teams to optimise risk management strategies
• Communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Actuarial experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry

Leadership and management skills leading a team are preferable

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in actuarial software and tools

Knowledge of Lloyd’s of London and international insurance markets preferred

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
