My client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the financial health and sustainability of their company. This role is critical in driving financial performance, optimising operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting their strategic goals and long-term success.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the Finance, IT, and Compliance teams, providing effective guidance and support.
- Offer strategic financial advice to the business to aid growth and development.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining free cash flow to meet business commitments.
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Oversee IT department to ensure a robust and secure IT infrastructure.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors
- Ensure full compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Fulfil Company Secretary duties, maintaining statutory books and ensuring legal compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Proficient in financial management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of UK corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
