Job Title: Child Care Practitioner
Location: Beccles/Loddon
Type: Permanent
Starting Salary: £26,421 - £27,803 per annum (depending on experience) plus sleeping-in payments (which will typically increase your annual salary by around £1000)

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking dedicated Child Care Practitioners to join our client's teams at their inspiring dual registered children’s homes and educational settings. They offer full-time, permanent positions in homes that accommodate up to 8 children, all of whom have social, emotional, and mental health complexities.

Shift Pattern:

The role involves working shifts, including occasional paid sleep-ins and overtime. The shift pattern spans four weeks and is based on a 37-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring children are fully prepared for daily life
  • Collaborating closely with the onsite education team to support children’s learning
  • Maintaining a homely environment
  • Planning activities for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Supporting young people in attending outside clubs and activities
  • Building positive relationships with young people
  • Role modelling in life skills and social interactions
  • Working towards the personal development plan for each child

About You:

No previous experience is required to apply for the Child Care Practitioner position. They are looking for individuals with a strong desire to improve the lives of children and to be part of a team that aims to provide a happy and fulfilling future for them. You will work to create a family-like environment, nurturing and educating children in life skills and their personal, emotional, and social development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in English Language or Literacy to a Level 1 standard
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport (parking available on site)
  • Commitment to completing a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years of employment (supported by us)
