Childcare Advocate – London – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)

Position: Childcare Advocate

Organisation:  London based Local Authority

Duration:  6 months with possible extension

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Arrangement: Court attendance required

Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)

Venn Group’s public sector legal team are working with a London based Local Authority in their search for a Childcare Advocate.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified barrister or Qualified Solicitor/CILEx advocate who has an excellent working knowledge of the key public child protection legislation, statutory and non-statutory guidance and relevant case law. As well as having experience of conducting advocacy in all tiers of the Family Court.

1. Childcare In-house Advocate – London Local Authority

  • Location: London
  • Role Overview:
    • Join a specialist Advocacy team within a prestigious council.
    • Regular court attendance with approximately three hearings per week.
    • Ideal for both seasoned advocates and those looking to build their advocacy experience with support from experienced lawyers.
  • Contract Details:
    • Competitive rates
    • Initial 6–12 month contract, with potential for extension
    • Interviews will be conducted promptly after shortlisting.
