My client, a dynamic and reputable law firm specializing in family and childcare law, is seeking an experienced Childcare Solicitor. The firm is dedicated to providing high-quality legal services and supporting families through complex legal matters.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload from start to finish, focusing on public law matters and care proceedings. Responsibilities include:
  • Handling public law matters, including care proceedings and child protection issues.
  • Managing cases independently and efficiently.
  • Providing expert legal advice and maintaining high standards of client care.
  • Representing clients in court and liaising with social services and courts.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Staying updated on relevant legislation and case law.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in childcare law.
  • Strong advocacy skills and court representation experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related legislation.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Desirable:
  • Membership in the Law Society's Children Panel.
  • Experience with vulnerable clients.
