Children & Families LawyerAbout the Role

A Local authoirty based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Children & Families Lawyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the Private Law Principal Lawyer, holding a complex caseload of private law matters, including Judicial Review.

The Children & Families Lawyer will be expected to attend remote hearings in connection with private law matters and deal with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota.

The role is a contract position and is expected to last for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputising for Private Law Principal Lawyer
  • Holding a complex caseload of private law matters, including Judicial Review
  • Attending remote hearings in connection with private law matters
  • Dealing with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
  • Experience in Children & Families Law
  • Experience in Judicial Review
  • Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
