Residential Children’s Home Manager Company Overview:

Our client is a highly supportive organisation, dedicated to providing outstanding care for children and young people.

They are currently looking to appoint an experienced and committed Residential Children’s Home Manager to lead one of their established homes.

This role is well-suited to a Registered Manager with a solid background in children’s residential care, or a Deputy Manager ready to progress into a more senior position. Qualified Social Workers with experience in residential childcare and team leadership, who are looking for a new and rewarding challenge, are also encouraged to apply.

Residential Children’s Home Manager- Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and internal policies.
  • Drive performance, staff development, and high-quality supervision through clear direction and support.
  • Take the lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within the home.
  • Ensure the team is well-trained, alert, and proactive in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns.
  • Manage the implementation of person-centred care plans that meet each child’s unique needs.
  • Support young people in achieving positive social, emotional, and educational outcomes.
  • Promote independence and well-being at every stage of their journey.

Residential Children’s Home Manager- Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in residential childcare and team management
  • A current or previous Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking to progress
  • Background as a Social Worker with leadership skills and residential care experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child development
  • Passionate about creating safe, supportive, and empowering environments for children
