Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Telford
Salary: £13 - £14 per hour
Sleep-In Rate: £60 per night
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota of 2 days on, 4 days off

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)?

Our client is seeking committed and caring Children's Residential Support Workers to join their team at a 3-bedded EBD service in Telford. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people, helping them navigate challenges and build brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive environment within the residential setting.
  • Support the children and young people in developing their social, emotional, and practical life skills.
  • Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
  • Manage challenging behaviours in a calm, supportive, and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • A compassionate, resilient, and patient attitude.
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly and respond to the changing needs of the children and young people.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
