Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team in Garstang. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care and support to children and young people in our residential home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of Residential Support Workers.
- Ensure high standards of care and support are maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for children and young people.
- Monitor and manage staff performance, providing supervision and guidance.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for children and staff.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders.
- Manage challenging behaviours professionally and calmly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in rota management, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
Requirements:
- QCF Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Residential Support Worker setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- A full British driving licence for a manual car.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
