Our Client, Liverpool City Council, is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

This is a Hybrid Working Role!

Fantastic payrate of £46.31 per hour!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Complete an assessment / child protection investigation in partnership with, for example, the police, and talk to the child or young person and family members and visit the family home.
  • Contact all agencies that are directly involved with the child and ask them for information about the child’s welfare.
  • In some situations, involve the police who also have a duty to investigate circumstances where it is believed a child has been harmed.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a social worker
  • A proven track record as a Deputy Team Manager in Safeguarding/Child Protection and be confident in the application of all legal proceedings and legal frameworks, with a robust understanding of young people’s whole journey.
