Claims Handler - Medical Malpractice

Eames is currently working closely with a leading provider of medical negligence insurance. We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler, to manage complex medical malpractice claims across an international portfolio. This role involves managing clinical negligence cases, coordinating with solicitors, and working closely with clients to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management: Handle a range of medical malpractice claims, from initial report to final resolution, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Investigations and Settlements: Conduct thorough investigations, determine coverage and liability, and negotiate settlements with the help of experts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with underwriters, brokers, solicitors, and third-party administrators to provide top-notch service to clients and improve organisational performance.
  • Training: Assist with training of other team members
  • Provide Optimal Service: Improve organisational performance through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (underwriters, solicitors, TPAs, brokers).

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-4 years' experience in casualty claims, across various jurisdictions (healthcare is preferred).
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications to handle claims in the U.K. and Ireland (or willing to sit the relevant exams, via ACII / FCII designation or other qualification recognised by CBI.
