Overview

We are looking to recruit a motivated, professional, and dedicated Claims Handler to join our growing claims team based out of our Exeter office.

Our Exeter branch is a supportive, collaborative group of dynamic professionals who are all driven to succeed. If you share this attitude, we look forward to hearing from you.

You will be responsible for liaising with insurers and other interested parties to expedite the claims and taking a real sense of pride in effectively over delivering against your clients’ expectations.

You will be handling mid-corporate claims from beginning through to conclusion. The option is available to work on a hybrid basis.


How you'll make an impact

  • Handle all Claim enquiries from First Notification to Settlement via telephone and email.
  • Advise and update your clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim.
  • Ensure complete customer happiness by regularly assessing the status of claims with clients, insurers, recovery agents and solicitors.
  • Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim (full training will be provided)
  • Build and maintain your market, insurance, legislation and other technical knowledge.
  • Efficiently running claims and keeping the system updated with all relevant information.
  • Balance your workload in order to service the client promptly and expertly.
  • Update insurers and recovery agents, informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process.
  • Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance to SLAs.
  • Manage customer feedback including Complaints/Negative feedback/Positive feedback

About You

  • Experience within a claims role will be ideal, but we are happy to consider candidates with insurance exposure.
  • Strong customer service drive along with good planning and analytical skills.
  • Ability to spot potential risks and seek advice when required. Application of due diligence and process adherence accompanied by high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and will take initiative when assisting team members.
  • Aware of FCA regulations such as GDPR/Consumer Duty.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Excel.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
