Claims Technician - Lloyds Market

Our client is an established international, Lloyds accredited broker who are a recognised leader in the specialist credit and political risk arena.

In response to significant growth in business activity, they are seeking to expand the capability of the Claims function. To this end, the Claims Technician role is a key role in ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality technical support to the Claims team.

You will be responsible for ensure the timely and accurate administration and processing of claims to help achieve the company vision of excellence.

Example of Duties

• Timely and accurate recording of new claims notifications.
• Ensure claims updates, reserve movements etc are recorded.
• Process claims and fee settlements
• Arrange claims and fee payments
• Liaison with XCS & administering claims entries via ECF and IMR
• Work with external stakeholders to obtain information and documents
• Assist the Claims Manager by preparing documentation to support the claims process
• Maintain stats databases to enhance claims data presentation and analysis
• Liaise with underwriters and other stakeholders to support the effective management of claims
• Assist in the preparation of meeting packs, attending of internal & external meetings as well as taking and distribution of minutes where required

Candidate Profile

• Experience working within a claims role - Broker, Insurer, MGA, TPA
• Exposure to ECF and Lloyds market, preferred but not essential
• Intermediate capability with MS Excel, with a high degree of numeracy
• Analytical skills: problem solving (broad-based, analytical, conceptual, creativity), financial assessments of claims, data analysis, decision-making
• Able to manage workload
• Close attention to detail
• Capable of using initiative to deal with multiple challenges
• Excellent planning and organisational ability, can juggle multiple demands and prioritise work accordingly
• Determined to meet tight deadlines
