We have an exciting opportunity with a leading Insurance company in Glasgow, who are looking for a Claims Technician to join the team.

This role is all about providing essential support to Casualty Adjusters and contributing to the efficient management of casualty claims.

What will you be doing?

• Administer new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, setting up files, and conducting risk screening and triaging
• Assist Casualty Adjusters with investigation and validation enquiries
• Manage the lifecycle of files to support diary management and proactive claims handling from initiation to conclusion
• Oversee Adjuster caseloads during periods of leave
• Liaise with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimum customer service and act as a point of contact when necessary
• Aid in the production of technical reports for Adjusters, ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales
• Ensure time reporting and billing align with internal standards and systems
• Develop and run management information for both clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports
• Uphold company standards in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security
• Provide account management support as required
• Handle incoming telephone calls and resolve queries
• Manage invoicing and other ad hoc tasks as needed

About you:

• Previous experience in an insurance or loss adjusting environment would be preferable
• Experience in a fast-paced office and/or administration environment
• Previous experience with some form of Casualty of Liability claims
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Strong relationship management skills
