We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our clients Claims team. One years claims or insurance experience is essential for this role. We are looking for people who have not only the experience, but a clear passion for customer service. You will be someone who goes above and beyond regularly for customers and someone who wants to help customers.

As a Claims Handler, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and brokers, upholding the reputation for award-winning claims management. You will work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where your contributions can make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class service daily
  • Handle a high volume of calls from policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders regarding new and existing claims.
  • Take claim notifications over the phone and progress them appropriately, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
  • Review and confirm coverage positions for claims.
  • Validate, negotiate, and settle claims proactively, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
  • Meet and exceed pre-defined service level agreements (SLAs) and targets.
  • Demonstrate excellent claims management through active portfolio management, accurate reserving, and effective risk and indemnity cost management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the UK Property Claims team by identifying areas for enhancement and helping to develop innovative solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong team player, capable of collaborating under pressure without compromising service quality.
  • Ability to manage high expectations and handle challenging conversations effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with team members, the broader business, and external partners.
  • Results-driven with a high level of energy and determination.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Progress towards Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications or willingness to start.
  • Experience in insurance and/or claims handling.
