CALLING ALL CLASS 1 DRIVERS! 

GI Group are currently recruiting for casual Class 1 drivers across Coventry, Warwickshire and all surrounding areas.  With a focus on reliability and excellence in service, we are currently seeking a dedicated Class 1 Driver's to join us today!  

Overview:

As a Class 1 Driver specializing in container transport, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods. Your responsibilities will include transporting containers to and from designated locations, adhering to all road safety regulations and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate and drive Class 1 vehicles for container transport.
2. Ensure the secure loading and unloading of containers, adhering to safety guidelines.
3. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and meet customer requirements.
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, and customers.
7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Valid Class 1 driving license with relevant certifications.
2. Previous experience in container transport essential. 
3. Clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Shifts and Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• AM and PM shifts available
