Pertemps are currently recruiting several Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to work on a regular ongoing basis for our client DHL Nisa based in Scunthorpe. You will be required to deliver ambient or frozen goods to Nisa Local / Costcutter convenience stores, this will involve unloading cages filled with goods at local Nisa stores. You will not be required to split the cages on site.

You will need to complete a Class 1 site assessment before being accepted to work on this site. This consists of a drug and alcohol test, multiple-choice questionnaire surrounding driver’s hours, the highway code and tacho law followed by a driving assessment. Once you have passed the assessment there is a five-day site induction before going out on the road with a buddy who will show you the ropes! This is all paid at the hourly rate.

What shifts and start times are available?

You will be starting between 04:00 - 06:00 each shift.

How much will I be paid?

Monday to Friday basic rate of £17.13ph with overtime being paid after 42 hrs at the rate of £22.78ph. Saturday & Sunday are both paid at £19.27ph.

You will be paid 10.5 hours minimum guaranteed per shift.

Bonuses

£50 per week bonus for working four shifts or more in a week.
£10 per day if starting before 04:00

Which skills or experience do I need to apply?

  • 6 months minimum Class 1 experience
  • Category C+E (HGV 1) on your licence
  • Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
  • No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - no more than 6 points
